Bath Fourth of July Circus Impresses Crowds in City

Howe's Great London Shows drew large audiences for both matinee and evening performances and earned praise as one of Bath's best circuses in years. The parade featured handsome horses and a standout street display. In the big tent, elephants, trained horses, and a Japanese acrobatic family wowed spectators, with the circus band providing pre show and intermission concerts. The operation ran smoothly, with efficient loading and unloading of the box outfit. After performances, the company left for Lewiston and will tour the state through the month. Nearby, the barkentine John S Emery anchored with guano and cattle bone cargo for Lieburg Export Meat Co.
