Five Islands Ladies' Aid Meets at New Member Home
The Ladies' Aid Society met at Mrs. Charles Nocton's home the first time since she joined after moving to the Rural place from Pittsburg. Nineteen members prepared for the midsummer sale and refreshments of cakes tea and bonbons were served. The group, final gathering before summer recess, enjoyed the occasion despite heat. C A McMahan bought the parish house for use in his grocery business. Will Chafe and family of Cambridge Mass traveled to Bath by car and hired a launch.

Harbor residents host guests and summer comings in town
Sunday visitors mingle at the harbor as J J Gibson of Springvale and Miss Aileen Larrabee of South Gardiner stay with locals. Several launch parties occur while families from Waltham Haverhill Cambridge and Portland arrive for summer cottages. The Sebasco school closes with 60 pupils and 54 attendance. Ordway Lewis teaches and hopes for grading next year.

A festival and concert with tents, flags, and a lavish fare was held Thursday at the Congregational Church in Woolwich. The event featured strawberries and cream, ice cream, cake, and a candy table, with lighting by Mr. Savage and guests from Bath and surrounding areas.
