The elder piano pupils of the Sisters of Mercy performed a concert in St Marys school hall Tuesday night. The packed audience included parents and friends. The program featured numerous works by Virgil, Vachon, Bohm, Liszt, and Chaminade, with performances by Margaret Whalen, Virgil, Eleanor Doyle, Malvina Vachon, and others. A remark from a Bathman noted that soldiers going to Mexico are brave, but young couples marrying at high prices are braver.

Rev Culbert McGay officiated Tuesday at the wedding of Miss Olive Mildred Blagdon and Chauncey Davenport Call in Wiscas set. The bride, known in Bath, has lived there for some time. Mr. Call works at the Portsmouth Navy Yard. H. H. Cudworth of the Eastern Steamship Corporation visited Bath and toured the Boothbay division with Supt. Haraden.

YMCA Notes Bright Fourth of July Plans At Birch Point
The YMCA reports many boys signed up for the July Fourth outing at Birch Point with activities for all ages. Corliss Street Scouts entertain the YMCA group while Boy Scout Council members are invited to join the celebration. Churches in the county may receive deputations from the religious work committee for Sunday services. County Boys Conference plans are advancing with an all‑older‑boys meeting for further arrangements. The conference runs Friday afternoon July 14 to Monday morning July 17. A street fight near the Times office involving Leo Burke and Allen Guerrero drew a crowd. Guerrero bullied Gordon Miller and was beaten, a scene later filmed for the Columbia Theatre movie Romance of Bath to be shown the week of July 10. The fight was directed by Sidney Buck with George Hardy operating the camera as part of city filming efforts.
