Farmington man injured in highway collision near barn
Frank Colburn aged 49 was struck while loading hay on a wagon in front of his barn on Strong road near Franklin Memorial hospital Farmington. A truck driven by Charles Pinkham caused the fracture of Colburn s leg near the hip as the accident occurred Friday night.

Sewall Looks to GOP Nomination for State Senate Seat
The Bath Republican Sumner 8 Sewall will seek the state Senate seat now held by Hon. N. Gratz Jackson, who will not seek renomination. Jackson, 1929 1931 House veteran and 1933 35 Senate member, thanked Bath Sagadahoc voters for four terms of service. Sewall, WWI ace, chaired aeronautics and radio control in the last Legislature and sits on banks and banking.
