Senator Fernald argues against World Court membership
Senator Fernald delivered a Senate speech urging rejection of the World Court. He warned that if the United States joins, it would have one vote to Britain’s dominance and cited population and economic comparisons to argue the U.S. should retain sovereignty and voting power. The speech contends the court’s structure and British influence would hinder American interests.
