Bath Firemen’s Engine Company History and 1840s Revels
A long feature traces Bath Maine early enginemen from May 1804 to 1840s, detailing fines, roll calls, and duties, names of members, and events including a 1840 banquet at the Elliot House with Colonel Soule. It describes later 1843 to 1845 incidents, the engine’s name Deluge, and postwar arming and pay debates.
