Municipal court expansion could cut county costs and delay
In support of raising municipal court jurisdiction, WM. T. Hall argues that increasing the court's reach to 300 or 500 would reduce expenses, citing a $1200 county cost from a Supreme Court case that could have been handled locally. He notes quicker, cheaper trials and fewer jury appeals, urging legislative action. Bath, December 30.
