The Junior Hospital League staged a successful New Year ball Friday at Columbian hall with Doc Harmon and his band providing music from 9 pm to 2 am. Decorations featured red and green lights and wreaths. many guests attended including Miss Miriam W. Kimball and Mrs. Donald N. Small among others. in addition, separate dinners and parties preceded the dance.

Judge Dunton Again Qualifies for Office
Hon. Arthur J. Dunton was sworn in as Sagadahoc Probate Judge for a second time within six weeks. Governor's Council confirmed the appointment earlier in the day and the commission was rushed to Bath to permit him to preside over January probate court. The term continues to the next state election.

Mrs J H Perkins Injured In Train Collision At Crossings
Mrs John H Perkins of East Brunswick 64 wife of a local game warden is hospitalized in Bath Memorial for injuries from a 1 30 p m Thursday collision at Trufants crossing West Bath between her Ford coupe and a Maine Central east bound train. The wreck damaged a baggage car the locomotive showed no damage. Perkins sustained bruises soreness and a possible leg injury. Conductor F S Prescott and engineer T M Saunders of Rockland were aboard the train. She was taken to hospital by Arthur F Mayo ambulance.

Rumor says Mrs Marjorie Nowell Pollard, local attorney, may be appointed Recorder of Bath's municipal court by Governor Barrows to fill the vacancy created when Gardiner Deering became judge.
