Mrs Cora Coombs Hanson 72 of Worcester Mass died Friday at Memorial hospital Worcester. Funeral held Sunday at Johnson Funeral Home with Rev Francis C Wilson officiating. Cremation at Rural Cemetery Worcester. Survived by husband Axel R Hanson two daughters Virginia Swenson Attleboro and Barbara Holm Worcester a brother Robert Coombs Bath four sisters Julia Coombs Portland Mil ton Mills Wollaston and Mrs Metcalf West Bath seven grandchildren.
Mrs Ethel M Carr 67 of West Bath died Tuesday afternoon at Bath Memorial Hospital after a week as a patient. Widow of George Carr who died 1954, she was born Eastport January 24 1890. Survived by two sons four daughters a brother and a sister and 17 grandchildren. Funeral from A F Mayo & Son Thursday at 10, burial Hillside Eastport Friday.
Mrs. Susan H. Rogers age 63 died Wednesday afternoon at Memorial hospital after a brief illness. Born in Bath on April 9, 1893 she was the daughter of James H. and Laura Varney Cutting. Survived by husband Gardiner D. Rogers mother Mrs. Cutting of Bath one daughter Mrs Andrew Flaherty Jr a half sister Mrs Carrie Little Bath three grandchildren Peter David and Susan Flaherty four nieces and three nephews and several grand nieces She was a past president of Smith Tobey Post American Legion Auxiliary.
Alphia Ellen Hinds 91 widow of Frank W. Hinds died Monday at the Old Folks Home. She was born June 12 1865 in Charles Town Massachusetts to William W. and Mary Rams.
Dell Branch formerly of Boston and educated in Massachusetts schools, worked 25 years as buyer for Jordan Marsh Co. in Boston. She was a Baptist church member in Boston and attended the First Baptist church in this city. Mrs. Hinds had lived in Bath for 22 years with no surviving relatives.
Michael F Morrissey 88 of 232 Pleasant street Arlington died Sunday night after a long illness in a Malden rest home. He worked over 40 years with George D Emerson Co food brokers Boston. He leaves wife Ellen A Cotter three sons Rev Francis E Bath Me Walter J Water town and Charles V Long Island N Y and two daughters Alice Eastman and Helen Bresnan Arlington. A requiem high mass will be held Wednesday at 10 am at St Agnes Arlington with burial in Mt Pleasant cemetery. A funeral mass will be held at St Marys Bath at 645 Wednesday morning.
Charlene Bethany Hersom daughter of Conrad D. and Jane M. Allen Hersom of Billerica Massachusetts and Bath died Tuesday morning at St John’s Hospital in Lowell. She was born January 22, 1957 in Lowell. Surviving are one brother Greg A. Hersom of Billerica and her grandparents. A prayer service will be held at Leslie C. Shumway Funeral Home with time to be announced. Entombment will be at Oak Grove.
