Municipal Court recounts two charges against Paul A Creamer of Waldoboro for unsanctioned fish peddling and license violation. A stand permit on Broad street covered the case. the permit expires in five weeks and parking rules may force a new location. A second intoxication case ends with guilty plea, costs of 6 dollars 82 cents, and discharge.
Bath Legion plans a junior baseball program to attract about 200 local youths and fund a Bath team for the national Junior League Baseball Tournament. Donation cards offer a chance to win a 1947 Ford at the Patriots Day dance on April 19 to support the venture. An open house for veterans is planned in two weeks.
Sarah Elizabeth Browne daughter of Dr and Mrs Wilbur F Browne of Lincoln Street Brunswick celebrated her thirteenth birthday with a theater and supper party for a friend. Mrs Browne was formerly Miss Doris Cornish of Hardings and worked as a telephone operator at the local NET&T exchange.
The Board of Review unanimously approved findings on Thibodeau's resignation dispute. Thibodeau testified he served as a police officer since 1941 and described his actions on the day in question, including interactions with Mrs. Pauline Clark amid alleged larceny and a Bath Brunswick robbery connection.
Testimony covered remarks alleged toward a woman prisoner by Thibodeau and a later phone call to Brunswick. Mrs Clark testified to incidents at the cell and his home visits. After closing pleas, Mayor Tardif announced the Personnel Services Commission upheld the dismissal from the Brunswick police department.

Miss Margaret Jackson daughter of Mr and Mrs Laton Jackson of Rockland spent the weekend with her parents. She attends the Chamberlain School of Merchandising in Boston. The Jacksons plan to move to Brunswick in the spring where Mr Jackson is employed. Mrs Bruce H M White formerly Mary Baxter has returned to her Brunswick home after a visit in Chicago with her daughter and son in law Mr and Mrs Franklyn M Crouch.
Lawmakers debated increases in state aid for town superintendents and salaries for teachers, while a proposed repeal of a publicity ban on vital records drew mixed committee support. Temperance measures included raising drinking age to 21 and redefining what constitutes a restaurant for liquor licenses, with emphasis on proper food service and curbing booth drinking.
Dromore Grange held a busy Tuesday program conferring third and fourth degrees on candidates. A literary program honored Washington and Lincoln with a harvest meal and patriotic decor. Officers and guests from nearby granges attended as plans included a rummage sale and a March card party.

Bath Police patrolman Charles Pelletier is at Camp Keyes Augusta for a nine week state police school. Marshal Percy W. Kingsbury said more officers may be sent after Pelletier completes the course as the program runs every two years. The Stars and Stripes notes the flag is the American flag act of June 14 1777.
Veterans may obtain full information on National Service Life Insurance at the V A Administration Contact Co located at 192 Front Street. The text notes concerns about war hazards and income loss, mentions premiums and benefits, and references 1940 Act provisions and insurance for teachers.
In the forenoon a session focused on teachers salaries with T A Seation and others present. In the afternoon Mrs Hew hosted a tea at the Blaine mansion where the governor and other officials attended as guests.
Bath Lions Club will host Governor William P. Ke Camden Thursday night. The event will feature remarks and attendance by leaders from Brunswick, Wiscasset, and Thomaston Lions clubs.
The first midweek union Lenten service was held at First Baptist Church last Wednesday. A large audience attended. Rev. Joseph O. Purdue preached the sermon titled A Call to Conversion and several local ministers participated. Special music was provided by the church choir.
