Mrs. Drusilla J Thornton wife of Willard H Thornton died Monday afternoon at about 530 after a three month illness from heart trouble. Born in New Brunswick she moved to Bath two years ago. She leaves her husband two sons William T and Harry T Thornton of Bath plus six sisters and two brothers.
The Mid-Winter session of the Bowdoinham Baptist Association will be held at People's Baptist Church on Thursday. Principal speaker is President Gray of Bates College, delivering “Call of the Country” at 2:25 p.m. Other afternoon speakers include Rev. G F Finnie of Lewiston and Rev. K. E. Whittemore D D of the State convention board. Morning business session is led by Rev. G M Hamlin D D secretary of the State convention. Evening features a stereopticon talk “How We Are Serving the World” by Rev. Ernest M Holman of the First Baptist Church, Auburn. J C McDonald of Auburn also speaks at night.
