Bath Driving Club Hosts Light Crowd for Heatless Monday Race
A small Bath Driving Club turnout on a heatless Monday saw Harold Groves's Queen Irene win Class A with a season best 32 seconds. Bennie Todd led Class O with 52 and 51 53 seconds as the judges and starter set the pace on a well-conditioned winter track. Mrs. Jessie Winslow and her son left for Somerville, Massachusetts to stay with her sister Mrs. Herbert Wallace for a month.

Bath Water District Elects Electric Pumping System
Bath Water District enters a three year contract with Central Maine Power Company and Bath Brunswick Light and Power Company to electrify its pumping system. The deal allows 80 percent energy from electricity with a 20 percent leeway for steam pumping, and uses a sliding price scale tied to coal costs. The agreement covers extending wires, supplying 60 cycle power, and installing a 100 horsepower centrifugal pump at Nequasset Lake with readying terms for mutual service.
