Fire destroyed a house trailer owned by Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Cota behind the Gateway Sandwich Bar near the Carlton bridge. Bath fire department Hose lines from Route One and nearby trucks fought the blaze to prevent spread to adjacent trailers and buildings. A second alarm shortly after noon summoned units to a dump fire on High Street with hoses and booster tank used to control the rubbish blaze.
