War Veteran Alden Rogers of North Bath Dies at 75
Alden Rogers, a North Bath resident and Civil War veteran, died Saturday aged 75 years 12 days from complications of an old wound received at Deep Bottom Virginia. He served in the 9th Maine Infantry from 1861 to 1864, fought in multiple battles, and was wounded in 1864. Survived by wife, two sons Wy lie and George, and a Bath nephew Owen Rogers. Funeral held Monday with Grand Army and Masonic funeral honors. interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
