Mrs Lucy Ellen Phillips 92 a Bath native died Saturday in Bradenton Florida where she had lived eight years She belonged to Winter Street Congregational Church and many societies including Daughters of American Colonists New England Historical Society National Society of New England Women and Daughters of 1812 Survivors include three Bath nieces Mrs James Bonney Mrs Elmer Rogers Mrs Althea Ward and a nephew Sewall P Strout of Wiscasset

Dr Ardenne A. Stott 75 of 37 Park Street veteran Bath physician died Monday night at Maine Medical Center Portland after a 50 year career on Bath Memorial Hospital staff. Born Reading Massachusetts March 17 1883 he practiced in Woolwich before moving to Bath in 1931. He served in World Wars I and II and retired from USNR in 1947 with rank of captain. Survived by widow Edna Marr Stott of Bath and daughter Mrs E Bradley Carleton of Troy New York.
Alvah K. Ridley of Bath known as King of Merrymeeting Bay died at 89. Found at his Mechanic Street home, death occurred Sunday night or Sunday. Funeral Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Frederick L. Niles officiating. Entombment in Oak Grove. He built the Ridley gunning float used across Maine and served for years as a guide for hunters. Survived by nieces and nephews.

Joseph E Kocha 76 a retired Hyde Windlass Co employee died at his Bath home after a long illness He was born in Antigo Wisconsin March 6 1882 and grew up in Wisconsin He attended Michigan State University and worked as a veneer plant superintendent in the South and at Stockholm He came to Bath in 1942 to work as a machinist and retired in 1946 He is survived by his widow Ellen M Carrigan Kocha of Bath three sons Joseph Arthur Kempton and Stuart Edward eight grandchildren and two daughters Dorothy Egan and Nancy Kocha a sister Mrs Victoria Silver of Chicago and other relatives
Peggy Sue King infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Herbert S King Jr of 47 Central Avenue Bath died Saturday at Bath Memorial Hospital where she was born January 25 She is survived by her twin sister Patricia Ann two brothers James L and Donald E King paternal grandmother Mrs Claire N King Bath maternal grandmother Mrs Claire M Sivley Los Angeles Calif two aunts Committal services will be held at the family lot in Oak Grove in the Spring.
Miss Elzada H Paine 91 of Boston died at Nahant Mass after a long illness. She had lived in Bath with her late brother Cecil Paine and had many friends here. Survivors include three nieces Mrs Ernest G Rolph Ontario Canada Mrs Robert F Smythe Marblehead Mass and Miss Gertrude True California and a nephew Philip S Paine Boston.
Bath resident Miss Sarah Eliza Klippel died suddenly Thursday noon at her Green Street home. Daughter of John and Margaret Sands Klippel, she was born in Bath and attended Bath schools. Survived by one brother, George F. Klippel, Bath, who lived with her.
Funeral services for Arthur L. Perkins were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Curt's Funeral Home with Rev. Craig H. Richards of Central Congregational Church officiating. Bearers were William C. Perkins William O. Robson Richard Frates Willard McCabe Fred Pecci. Burial will be in Oak Grove.
James Morrison 73 died Friday evening at Bath Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient six weeks. Born October 23, 1885 in Largs Scotland he was son of Robert and Elza Morrison. Survived by daughter Mrs. Manley Grant Bath brother Robin Scot land sister Mrs. Robert Poole Scotland. He was a Bar Harbor Congregational church member and 50 year Scottish Rite Mason treasurer of Bar Harbor Horticultural club. He came to the United States in 1909 settling in Bar Harbor worked at Malvern Green houses then 34 years caretaker of the Hudson estate. He moved to Bath in 1956 and lived with his daughter since.
Clyde S. Wills aged 22 of 23 Trufant Street Bath died Friday at Bath Memorial Hospital after months of illness. Born Bridgton November 28, 1936 he was a son of Albert and Etta Wheeler Wills. Survived by widow Joan Henrikson Wills two children Kenneth Allen Joyce Ellen. parents two brothers Erwin Harold two sisters Barbara Marilyn and grandmother Mrs Emma Wheeler all of Bath. He attended Bridgton schools moved to Bath in 1951 and graduated Morse High in 1955. A former Bath National Guard member he worked for M. W. Sewall Co Sam Prewer Co and Abbott Furniture Co Brunswick.
Velma T. Marsh 66 wife of Arthur W. Marsh of Rockland died Thursday evening at her son Oscar R. Marsh’s home in Rockland. Born March 6 1892 in Rockland she was a daughter of Edward and Etta Huntley Thornton. Surviving are her husband a son a daughter Mrs Irving W. Blackman a brother Charles H. Thornton five grandsons and several relatives. She was active in St Peters Episcopal Church Rockland and held offices in the Edwin Libby Relief Corps Anderson Auxiliary Goldenrod chapter OES and Pleasant Valley Grange.
Jane Allen two year old daughter of Rev Harrid L Allen formerly of this city now Poultney Vermont died Friday night at Children s Hospital Boston after heart surgery She was born in Bath October 15 1956 Survived by her parents two sisters Patricia and Priscilla and brother James maternal grandparents Mr and Mrs William Clark Lisbon Falls paternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Raymond Allen Lisbon Falls.
