Nathan A Cushman Portland owner of Sebasco Lodge Shore Acres golf course and cottages continues expansion by adding a large lodge annex to Sebasco Lodge. The project aims to increase guest capacity as summer visitors boost Bath’s economy and Sebasco’s status as a regional resort.

Bath High School alumni announce a dance to be held Wednesday February 22 in Morse High School gym. General chairman is Miss Bertha L Lord with committees for decorating refreshments tickets advertising and more. Louis Petlock of Mattapan Mass visits his parents at 22 Franklin Street.
Woolwich residents gathered for the Nequasset Farm Bureau meeting on February 15 to hear County Agent Charles L. Eastman discuss vegetable gardens with lantern slides. Miss Horten Welch led the afternoon session on dinner recipes and vegetable preparation. A memorial minute honored Miss H Emma Magoun, and Mrs. Percy Marston was elected publicity chairman.

Ellsworth R. Darling won the Junior pocket billiard tournament at the Y M C A for grammar school boys. He defeated Harold Burns 100 to 81 in the final after rounds that included byes for Lowery and Darling. The senior Y M C A championship is ongoing and draws large crowds.
Modern Woodmen beat Lincoln Lodge Odd Fellows in Bath Camp last Wednesday in three straight games. Scores show Woodmen 81 45 and 1304 to 1323 in cribbage with players listed as E Sawyer F Beals Roy Monk Ferris Parris Gallant Rogers Higgins N Stover F Bowie Moody Tedford.
Miss Maxine P. Clark daughter of Mr and Mrs George E Clark of Gardiner Main avenue has been chosen for The Signboard school publication staff at Bay Path Institute Springfield Massachusetts She is a Gardiner High School graduate class of 1929 and attended Farmington Normal School currently completing secretarial training at Bay Path Institute.
Bath Maine January 28 1933 fire department memorial honors Edward H Cook who retired as Engine 4 driver after 50 years of service. Joint committee on fire department and board of fire engineers send best wishes to Mr and Mrs Cook.
Cap Merrill and John Hayes led the Colonial Club contract bridge event with 6550 points on a Wednesday night. Close behind were Mel Haggett and Joe McCole with 4800, and Fred Thompson and Ed Jones at 4650 as third, edging John Fitzgerald and Harry Day by 25 points.
A barn behind Engine 1 on Marshall Street used for hulled corn production caught fire Wednesday of last week, tying Bath Fire Department to a 45 minute fight. An overheated oil stove is blamed. Owned by John C. Grover of Oxford, it once housed Percy and Small horses. Interior damage predominates. Fire alarm rang at 5:55 and the all clear at 6:45.
Mayor Small explained that the National Shawmut bank bid 1.415 is an annual rate for an 80 000 loan secured to cover anticipated taxes. The six month note costs half the annual charge, about 566 dollars, not a monthly rate as citizens believed.
Herbert H. Morton, once of Rockland and now in Portland, a 35 year granite cutter who worked on major projects including the New York Custom House, wakes to sudden fame as the composer of the ballad-waltz My Inspiration Baby.
Forty nine members attended the Cosmopolitan club at the clubhouse for the February meeting. Nominees were named for March, a new conversation group was proposed, and reports were given on the Maine Federation mid winter meeting. Mrs Wing spoke on Ashes of Roses with an encore, and Hazel Wakefield won high in auction. Refreshments followed.
Edward D True and Herbert E Douglas leave Bath for New York and sail Saturday on the Cunard liner Mauretania for a 12 day West Indies and South America tour. Stops include Trinidad La Guaira Caracas Bay Curacao Havana and Colon with planned Gatun locks and Gaillard cut trips.
Fatimas bowlers Horace Morse Allan Spear and Freeman Trott all surpassed 290 as they helped set a new Colonial Club team total of 1413 at Parks Alleys. Old Golds gain three points to Fatimas six while Toots Toothaker led Old Golds with 318. In the other match Cesterfields edge Murads by a half point led by Marius Page and MacDonald. Gregware and Winchenbaugh shine for the Murads. Mr and Mrs Carl Crosby return to Brooklyn after the death of Mrs Crosby’s mother Alicia B Crosby.
