Gifts totaled in money and other items with display arranged by Mrs Paul Olson. Attendants and guests from Bath Portland Freeport New Harbor and Woolwich attended.

The Men s Bible Class at the First Baptist church installed 1957 officers in the vestry during a Saturday evening ceremony that included Ladies Night. Rev Dr Oliver W Bell of Wesley Methodist spoke on helping local youth. Ralph Blakeney led the installation.

Joseph D. Clancy 63, a Bath native and retired U S deputy collector of customs in Portland, died after a brief illness. Funeral Friday at 8 15 am from 819 Congress Street Portland with a 9 am High Mass at Sacred Heart Church. Survived by two daughters Mrs Eugene Fortin Brunswick and Mary Catherine Clancy Portland, a son John J. Clancy Cambridge Mass, and one grandson. He moved to Portland in 1955 after government service and helped clear Adm Donald B MacMillan and ship partners on the Bowdoin during Arctic expeditions. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. wife Teresa Corley Clancy died last June.
Nellie May Mansell Colbath 78 died at Eastern Maine General Hospital Bangor after a long illness. Widow of Martin P. Colbath she was born in Greenville daughter of Hiram and Lydia Mansell. She lived in Bangor 30 years and worked at Freese’s Department Store. Funeral was held at Hayes Funeral Home Bangor with interment in Greenville in the spring.
William H. Scott 68 a former Bath resident died suddenly Friday night in Gloucester Massachusetts where he had lived the last 30 years Born in Nova Scotia he was a son of James and Jane Munroe Scott He worked as a ship carpenter at Bath Iron Works and later in Gloucester He survived by a brother Vincent Scott of Nova Scotia a niece Mrs Thomas S Aiken head two nephews Dudley S Leavitt Bath and Howard Leavitt Norfolk Va and several other nieces and nephews
Mrs. Georgia A. Leach 85 widow of Captain John Lea died Thursday in Malden. Born March 27 1871 in Phippsburg she was daughter of David and Mary Golder Percy. She lived in Malden 21 years and earlier in Phippsburg. Survived by sons John of Malden and Frank in California, and brothers Walter and Frank Percy.
Mrs. Violettie Hopkins 83 widow of George Hopkins died January 26 at her son Ernest Hopkins home in Bath after a short illness. She attended services in Trenton Friday. entombment followed in Ellsworth. Immediate family includes Ernest Hopkins and Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins, Mr. and Mrs. John son, and Mr. and Mrs. Palmer of Bath.
Michael Rosenthal 58 husband of Shirley Goldstein of Bath and father of Ruth Cosgrove died suddenly Friday in Miami after arriving for vacation. He lived in Patterson New Jersey and was married in Portland 37 years ago. Funeral services were held Monday in Patterson.
Willard F Delano 88 a retired carpenter from Woolwich died Friday in an Auburn nursing home after a period as a patient. He was born March 2 1868 and spent most of his life in Bath and Woolwich. Survived by two sons George O Delano Woolwich Edward C Delano Manchester NH one daughter Mrs Maude E Bubier Auburn one sister Mrs Annie Wilson Athens seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Willard F. Delano were held Sunday at 1 30 p.m. from A F Mayo and Son Funeral residence with Rev Harold L Allen pastor of Corliss Street Baptist Church officiating. Bearers were Arthur Delano Carl Delano Walter Delano and Carlton Bubier grandsons of the deceased Entombment was in Oak Grove.
Funeral services for Clement V. MacMahon of Arrowsic were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Arthur F. Mayo & Son funeral residence with the Rev Harold L. Allen officiating.
