Bath Rotary and Red Cross Form Schools Playground Committee
Representatives from the Bath Rotary Club the Red Cross and the Parent Teacher associations met in Red Cross rooms Thursday afternoon to form a playground committee. Charles Law was named chairman and Mrs. Paul Dresser secretary. The group discussed two summer playground options a tennis court for high school age boys and playgrounds for very young children. Under supervision young children would have wholesome play with simple apparatus and handwork materials. The committee believes such a program is a summer necessity for many children whose play otherwise is on sidewalks or in backyards. Plans aim for low expense and rely on personal volunteer service.
