Three one act plays staged by six Emerson College seniors under Professor Clayton D. Gilbert. Feb 12 program at Fortnightly Club with ladies admitted by ticket and men charged a small fee. Highlights include Carrots and a Lepr e country home scene with noted cast members. Open author reading by F Hopkinson Smith on Feb 14, men welcome for a fee.

Popham Club Elects Officers Amid Storm at Popham Beach
Nearly 80 Colonial club members met with President Walter A. Murtaugh and nominated officers for the next year led by Henry W. Cobb for president and Hiram T. Stevens as vice president. The storm at Popham Beach caused extensive damage to cottages along the east shore, undermining foundations and washing away walks while life saving crews battled high seas and residents feared further havoc.

A Terrific Storm Tops Saga County in a Day
A severe Saturday storm rapidy escalated from a light snow flurry to a violent gale with rain driving in sheets. The event disabled over 50 lines of telephone cables, disrupted streetcars, toppled a sign rope into a trolley area, toppled a boat shed roof at Bath Marine Construction, and caused numerous minor acts of misfortune with few serious injuries.

Neff Leaves Today for New York On 75 Day Passage
The Lucy Neff a Detroit freight steamer bound for San Francisco leaves today for New York after repairs at Kelley Spear Co. It will test engines on the Kennebec River and is expected to reach New York to load carbide with a voyage about 75 days. Saturday night storm damaged the People's church chimney and roof at about 100 dollars.
