William E. Field 81 of Five Islands died Tuesday afternoon at Bath Memorial Hospital after a two day stay. A retired carpenter born December 7 1878 to Elisha and Violette Blaisdell Field he lived in Five Islands most of his life. He worked at a Texas shipyard during World War I and was a member of the Second Baptist Church. He is survived by several cousins. Funeral is Thursday at 3 p.m. at Leslie C. Shumway Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Roberts officiating. Entombment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery Georgetown in the spring.

Mrs Beatrice E Hunter 53 of Topsham died Tuesday morning after a brief illness. Wife of Lenwood A Hunter, she was born July 19 1906 in Massachusetts to William and Gertrude Hudson. She attended Woolwich and Bath schools. Survived by husband and six brothers John Hudson of Woolwich William Hudson of Lewis ton Lloyd Hudson of Lewiston Edward Hudson of Portland Walter Hudson and Herbert Hudson, and two sisters Vera Taylor of Portland and Isabelle Rhodes of Bath.

Judge Keegan Dies After Long Ill Health at 74
John J. Keegan 74 longtime Sagadahoc County Bar Association president and former Bath Municipal Court judge died Sunday at Bath Memorial hospital after a long illness. Funeral at St Marys Church followed by burial in Oak Grove. He was born June 5 1885 in Trescott and educated at Lubec High School and the University of Maine. He served as Municipal Court judge from 1912 to 1920 and held numerous public roles including director of the Bath Area Bureau OP A and Sagadahoc County Exemption Board during WWI. He was active in Knights of Columbus and local clubs and survived by his widow Margaret and son John Jr. of Bath, a sister and brother.
