Raymond Petit, a Brunswick youth described as mentally deranged, is in Augusta jail after a series of alleged crimes last week. He beat his mother, shot his father, killed Mrs. Marin White in Topsham, and wounded Deputy Sheriff Gerow with a scale weight. Petit pleaded guilty in Bath to the murder charge under a Sagadahoc complaint and was ordered held without bail for the January grand jury.
