Bath teachers seek gradual pay raise and benefits
The Bath Teachers' Club cites a Maine salary study showing Bath ranks 14th to 25th in state schedules while enrollment is high. They propose a $400 range increase in stages, costing about $13 000 from Sep 1955 to Apr 1956, plus $3 000 already allocated. Future years would add about $21 000 annually, with eight days sick leave and 40 days cumulative. No board action yet, but review will continue.
