Maine Fish And Game Roundup By Ron Speers
The deer season is over and Maine outdoorsmen turn to other pursuits. Rabbit hunting has surged with new snowfall and rabbits are more numerous this year. Dogs trail beagles through fresh snow as hunters plan to chase rabbits across Maine. Duck season was disappointing with few major flights, though sea ducks remain legal in open coastal waters until December 31 with a seven bird daily limit and 14 in possession.
