Adams Denies Arnold Landing at Parker Head

Silas Adams contends the Col. Dummer Sewall chapter should not mark Arnold landing at Parker Head. He cites historians’ accounts placing Arnold’s fleet on the Kennebec river Sept 16–20, 1775, with no evidence of a land visit at Parker Head. Adams urges markers reflect established facts, not traditions, based on his study of Arnold’s Expedition.
