Former Bath Man And Two Other Naval Men Develop Jet Propulsion For Boats
A retired Bath Navy veteran and two other former naval officers unveiled The Little Monster, a six by eight inch aluminum impeller device aimed at replacing standard propellers. The trio, Lubin Kingman and Arm and Le Tendre, formed Cal-Bay Consolidated Engineering in California and plan tests on small boats before scaling up. They have invested about 4000 dollars to date and report promising results, noting the impeller design reduces blade hazards. The inventors, all based in California, expect future designs to match or exceed traditional propeller performance.
