Cadillac Weather's Extreme Swings Persist
Cadillac Michigan with a population of 10 425 is noted for extreme weather with record highs near 100 degrees when the rest of the state enjoys mild weather. Lows are frequently the coldest in Michigan and in January 1951 the station registered 40 below zero. Experts attribute this to Cadillac’s position in a basin between hills where air masses funnel in sharply.
