An Oakland coupe seized by Sheriff Albert Henderson in August for liquor was sold Saturday noon at the Courthouse to Joseph McDuff of Brunswick, Bath Iron Works Corp., for $125. Henderson said $138 was spent on repairs. The car, driven 25 000 miles, remained in good condition.

The Morse high gym hosted a well attended junior class dance with Morse students townspeople and alumni. Patrons included Mrs. Russell Kenney Mrs. Arthur Mayo Mrs. John Hayes and others. Arcadians provided music and a formal committee led the event thanking helpers.

Raymond L. Arsenault of Bath and Miss Wilfred E. Reed of Lewiston were married Saturday afternoon at three o clock in Grace Church rectory by Rev. Charles M. Tubbs. The groom is a son of Louis Arsenault and the bride is a daughter of Wilfred E. Reed.
Bath Salvation Army launches a nationwide listening in for the Army Navy game at Chicago on December 13 with Philco Radio Co. arranging broadcast and $1 tickets. Proceeds fund unemployment relief in Bath as hundreds listen from home.
Linwood Murray of King and Water streets was fined 100 dollars and costs 14.05 after pleading guilty in municipal court to a search and seizure charge. He received three months in Kennebec county jail with six months suspended on payment, and probation terms. He cited 100 gambling arrests, Ford's view on prohibition, and a Book Week gift to schools. The L T L reports showed progress, and Mrs. Fred Bragg’s birthday was celebrated.
The Far and Near Missionary Society of Corliss Street Church met at Mrs. Grace Watson’s home for the regular monthly session and annual roll call. Officers led with scripture, prayers, and songs as members read items on missionary work and voted to donate produce to the Salvation Army for Christmas.
