Orders Pouring in for Machines Made at Bath Plant
Corner Brook Foundry and Machine Co of Bath, formerly Watson and Frye, expects a busy fall and winter as demand grows for the tip reclaiming machine. The invention by Ernest F Kelley, Ernest Wood, and Everett Wright saves mills from burning paper cores and now attracts orders from Canadian and American mills despite a 27 percent Canadian duty. Wood’s road trips have yielded multiple orders, with production far behind demand and plans to expand staff if agents are placed on the road.
