Milk Spill Crashes Truck On Leeman Highway
A dairy truck from Oakhurst Dairy bound for Bath ruptured on Leeman Highway as its body tore loose from the chassis. Driver Royden Haines, 27, of Bath, reported turning off Leeman into Middle Street when the load of 250 cases of milk and 30 five gallon cans spilled across the road. Most waxed cartons withstood the crash, but gallons leaked into the gutter while crews salvaged what they could.

A Bath quartet of Explorer Scouts Gillies Fullerton Akeley and Hunt returned from the National Boy Scout Jamboree in Santa Anna California with memories and souvenirs. They left Portland July 7 and returned July 28 after traveling through Utah Colorado Nebraska and Iowa. Highlights included a day trip to Glacial National Park 50 000 scouts at the opening candle ceremony and a California host family cruise.
