Spear wife of Adolph Spear of Robinhood daughter of sculptor William and Tessim Zorach born in Windsor Vermont educated in New York City has shown six times in New York Philadelphia and Rockland and her work is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and other public collections.

Walter L. Shaughnessy 68 died at Baker Memorial Hospital Boston after a long illness. Born Bath May 21 1888 son of John and Hannah Manning Shaughnessy he attended Morse High and later moved to Massachusetts. He served 32 years as assistant superintendent of the Veterans Hospitals in Northampton and West Roxbury before retirement due to health.
Local planning committee schedules a reception for Mr and Mrs Norman Dubie with Mrs Celeste Wallace at Sebasco. Unity Circle meets Tuesday evening with Mrs Morton Eaton. New overseers named include Kenneth Crafts Kenneth McIvor Francois Dube W C Davis and Horace Lovell. The meeting adjourned at 9 p m Sympathy sent to the Rideout family.
Funeral rites at sea were observed Friday aboard the U S S Barry for Capt William S Blair a former Bath Iron Works port captain who died June 9. Naval officiant J R G Caldwell led the ceremony as the ship began its initial sea trials. The Paris region is noted to have a population of 4 800 000.

Survived by husband two daughters Mrs. John Kriedler of San Diego and Joyce Dewey of Los Angeles a son Raymond Ryan of Moncton N B mother Mrs Lina M Butler of Bath three sisters Mrs Walter B James of Bath Mrs Dean Howard and Mrs Ruth Edker of Pennsylvania three brothers Martin Butler Quincy Mass W O Butler Fort Dix N J Walter M Butler Hackensack N J five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Funeral was held in Los Angeles with burial there.
Earlon I Rideout age 56 of 5 Tallman Street died suddenly Friday morning while at work at Bath Iron Works Corp. He was born May 8 1900 in Bath son of Isaac H and Abbie V Potter Rideout. Survived by widow Ella Davis Rideout two daughters Shirley E Rideout serving in the U S Army at Fort Snelling Minnesota and Jeanette E Rideout of Bath and brother Emery E Rideout of Bath with many nieces and nephews.
Larry Ronald Wall eight died suddenly Monday night. Private services Thursday at 2 p m from Leslie C. Shumway Funeral Home Woolwich. Requiem at Woolwich grave. Born Portland March 22 1948 son of Marjorie Winslow Wall and Merton W Wall. Survived by grandparents and other relatives.
Funeral services for Barlow I. Rideout were conducted Monday at 10 AM from Grace Episcopal church with Rev. James L. Grant officiating. Bearers included Russell Furrow Elver Stickney Elmer Tibbetts and Alton Stinson. Burial followed in the Oak Grove family lot. There were 10 deaths per billion passenger miles of domestic airlines operation in 1955.
Arthur Mitchell Berry 66 was found dead in his Morse Mountain trailer Wednesday. Natural causes per Medical Examiner Dr. Joseph I. Smith. A Bath resident born July 15 1890 he served in WWI and worked at Bath Iron Works during WWII. Survivors include brother Clarence M. Berry of Long Island and several cousins. Funeral arrangements by A F Mayo & Son.
Frank E. Ward 76 lifelong North Bath resident was found dead at his home Wednesday morning. Medical Examiner says heart ailment caused death. Born November 29 1879 he worked many years with the Cemetery department. Funeral 2 p m Friday Curtis funeral home burial in Oak Grove family lot.
Vivian Fay Ryder, 51, former Bath resident and Brunswick Transportation Co. employee, died Tuesday at his parents home in Pownal. Born April 14, 1905 in Presque Isle, he was the son of Richard P. and Eva E. Bean Ryder. Survived by his parents, a son Eugene P. Ryder and daughter Beverly Louise Trask of Bridgeport Conn., two sisters Ferne Weed of Pownal and Edna Smith of Yarmouth, two brothers Harold Ryder of Pownal and Lawrence Ryder of White River Junction Vt., and two grandchildren.
Funeral service for Mrs. Gertrude Ellen Nichols was held Thursday at Curtis Funeral Home with Rev. Charles R. Sims of First Baptist officiating. Bearers were Preston Hart Harrid Hart Neil Hart and David Nichols. Burial was in the Oak Grove family lot. Mr and Mrs Stephen John and daughter Pamela returned home from vacation at Damari scotta Lake. Mr Johns is on vacation this week from Hyde Windlass company duties.
Richard Hersom a former Bath boy now teaching in Connecticut is enrolled at the University of Maine Summer school as a participant in the program.
