At the 25th anniversary meeting of the North Center Parent Teacher Association officers were elected. The group recalled its 1921 founding to address unsanitary school basement conditions and lighting, and noted past projects from class rooms lighting to dental clinics and eye glasses for needy children. Past presidents listed include Faith Dresser, Morin, Mullin and others.
Tuesday night the Board of Education approved acquiring a new school bus to replace the current vehicle. discussions also covered a revision of the graded room up and an age range change for pupils from 10 years to 14 years eight months, with Central Grammar School to establish an eighth grade division for those 14 years and eight months on Sept. 1 who are not promoted to the eighth grade.
