Residents and helpers in PIPE CREEK report shredders making little progress over the past week due to rain. Mrs. Jacob Hildebrand Sr. of Egypt visited her daughter Mrs. Charles Jenner who is unwell. Local residents Jacob Abplanalp and Lizzie Abplanalp were in Sunman. groups assisted Mrs. Jenner with cooking for the shredder.
Christmas Seal Sale Begins Thanksgiving Day 1921
The Ripley County Anti-Tuberculosis Association starts Christmas seal sales on Thanksgiving Day November 24 1921. The society has donated $100 to the County Public Health Nurse Fund and $100 to the Health Crusade to be sent via County Nurse Miss Emily Hopkins. It plans further contributions as needed with an initial year cost for equipment. Seals will be sold in Ripley County schools under County Superintendent Hale Pickett.
