Obituary of Mrs Mat Vierling at 78 Sudden Heart Failure
Mrs Mat Vierling 78 died suddenly at home on South Main St from heart failure. She was active Sunday morning and died around 2:30 pm. two daughters, Mrs Graue and Mrs Greiner of Indianapolis, and three sons Mat Anthony and Jacob Vierling survive. Funeral at St Louis Church this morning at 30 o clock, burial in St Louie cemetery with Burst Weigel undertakers.

Chicken Thief Strikes North of Town Farm
Last Thursday night an intruder raided the H G Schone poultry house about a mile north of town, forcing a door but failing to access a springer pen. He cut the wire screen at the o dd en house, fled north with unknown birds, leaving gates open, likely had a horse and rig. Gree man, ill with typhoid fever for a week, is receiving care from Dr Gibson, with a hopeful prognosis after the illness runs its course.

Child Drowned Near Penntown Farm Home
Little Roscoe Purcell, about two years old, drowned in a pond near the Crusa farm six miles northeast of here last Friday. Coroner Kennedy ruled accidental drowning after the body was found warm. funeral services were held at the home and the Baptist church in Penntown, with burial by Ed. A. Zierer Undertaker.

Injured Boy Hurt While Handling Horse Incident
Little Otis Jones son of Wilson Jones sustained facial wounds Sunday morning while holding a horse. Lester Kitts assisted with the horse after which Otis suffered a gash on his chin and another near his eyes. He remained dazed for a time but is recovering and not sure how he was hurt.
