Country coffee expedition promotes Batesville store sale
A Cincinnati to Batesville excursion will run biweekly this summer drawing many visitors. It encourages city residents to try country coffee and buy Krome's 17 cent coffee at Batesville's Krome's store, where the same product costs 25 cents in the city.

Dance night at Nickel hall hosted by A D C with Boston Mandolin Club
A social dance by the A D C at Nickel hall drew a jolly crowd last Saturday. The Boston Mandolin Club provided music and received favorable comments. Indications point to a Batesville Stars ball team forming soon, with meetings at Park House to organize grounds. A plan to build a concrete passenger depot is eyed by the Big Four, using the current depot for freight and occasional excursion passengers.

Big Four railroad line move described in survey notes
Contractors laid rigs Friday as a new Big Four route shifts south of town. The line will pass through the fair grounds north area near the race track, cross north of the big gate, cut through Louis Huber and Conrad Heinlein plots, then run west past the Catholic cemetery. The line sits over a quarter mile south of the present route, with the current depot kept for Batesville shippers for now.
