Harry Jeffers dies at twenty after a long illness with Knights of St John funeral services and Catholic rites noted.

Mrs Warren Laughlin wife of a nephew of John Laughlin is lying very low at her Greensburg home. John Laughlin received a letter Wednesday morning warning of her impending death. Relatives Mrs John D Snedaker Mrs Wm Vaughn and Mrs John Laughlin hurried to Greensburg by the next train to visit the ailing relative.
Farmers from the vicinity continue to seek employment on richer farms in other counties and states. On Tuesday morning W A Stirn Fred G Stirn and Willis Wessling traveled to Fowler Indiana to secure farm work. Nearly every day one to six young men depart west for a summer's labor returning in late fall to their parents for winter.
Bon Ami Lodge Rathbone Sisters held a meeting at the K of P Hall on Friday night. Eight new converts joined by initiatory ceremony, with Sunman lodge sisters performing the degree work. Supper followed, and the lodge expects a five and prosperous future with new, young members aboard.

The Republicans of Laughery township will meet in convention at the town hall Batesville on Saturday March 29 at p m to select delegates to the Congressional and State conventions. Laughery township is entitled to two delegates and two alternates to the Congressional convention and two delegates and two alternates to the State convention. The Congressional convention time is not yet fixed. The State convention will meet at Indianapolis on April 23 and 24. By order of committee. Fred Schrader, Pres.

Emma Drake returns home to Sunman from visiting brother George. Mrs. O L Newman walks to John Meister s. first outing since last fall. Marie Hoyer visits her sick father George Hoyer and plans to stay a few days. William Schott s new house on George street nears completion with eight rooms.
The Strauss families extend sincere thanks to the Knights of St. John relatives friends and neighbors and to the donors of floral offerings for appreciation. Special thanks to Mrs Louis Clostermeyer and son and daughter for care during illness and assistance during death and burial.
A German Lutheran church story reports a minister losing an umbrella after services. He joked that he did not seek the thief’s identity but hoped the owner would drop it over the fence at night. The next morning forty seven umbrellas lay just inside his fence.
