Batesville Gas Co to Sell Its Plant in Bid to End Gas Shortage
Batesville gas consumers face a gas outage as the Batesville Gas Company nears sale of its plant for 18000 dollars to buyers intent on piping and junking it. Citizens are urged to act quickly to preserve gas supply by purchasing the plant or arranging an alternative gas source. The current owners have not cleaned wells or repacked them, risking further supply issues if the plant is dismantled. A preservation plan would require capital to restore wells or obtain artificial gas, with action needed immediately.
