Involuntary Bath: Boys Rescued From Ice on Greemann Pond
On Monday afternoon 12 year old Lawrence Nickol weighing about 185 pounds broke through the ice at the Greemann factory pond while skating. He clung to the ice until Help arrived from John Hotopp who also fell in. The engineer and fireman of the local freight train then rescued both men from the icy water. They were hauled aboard the train and later reached home safely.
