Republican District Convention Plans For Fourth Indiana District
The Republican State Committee orders a main convention at North Vernon on March 24 1912 to select delegates and alternates to the Republican National Convention in Chicago and to nominate an elector and contingency elector for November 1912. Ripley County townships hold separate meetings March 23 1912 to elect delegates for district and state conventions. The district representation bases on Otis K Gulley votes from 1910 and notes Laughery township gets two delegates. other Ripley townships get one each. Frep J Morgan chairs the Ripley County committee. The Batesville Laughery Institute of teachers met at the High School with discussions on Horace Mann and educational methods, geography teaching, magazine reading, pictures, school museums, penmanship, and the Panama Canal. The meeting adjourned to March 3rd Saturday.

Siefert Fined for Intoxication Before City Judge

Fined Fifty and Costs for Liquor Sale
