Sunman community news covers births, visitors, and travels including SUNMAN C W Morrow’s return to Cincinnati after a cold, a new daughter for Ed Shazer and wife, and many neighbors visiting relatives. It reports Nick Caster of Spades killed by a westbound train, with family survivors in Indianapolis and Cincinnati.
The Sunman school notes report a second lecture by the Chicago Entertainers at the C U Church on February 19 1921. Valentine Day activities included a Valentine Box decision, a spelling match won by Marcella Dreyer sixth grade, and a primrose gift to Miss Frone Alexander.
Batesville residents make short trips to Cincinnati Indianapolis Greensburg and Needham while friends and families share Sundays and Mondays at home. Attendees include Miss Ottilia Merkel Mrs John Anderson Mr and Mrs Ora Able Mrs Henry Schroeder and children plus multiple Bedel and Grossman family members.
William Meyer and son Lewis bought a fine team of young horses in Brookville on Wednesday. Henry Bartling called at Batesville Friday. Herman Thum traveled to Cincinnati Saturday for a few days. Mr and Mrs Louis Richter with Arthur Wittkamper and wife, George Theobald and family visited Casper Irrgang and wife Sunday. Mrs William Baas and son Herbert visited Edwin Richter and family Sunday. Casper Bartling called at Sunman Monday. John Stahley and relatives from Cincinnati visited Saturday and Sunday. John and Henry Bartling went to Bath Indiana Monday, Al Meyer and family called on friends at Spades Monday afternoon.
Mrs Herman Grothaus and daughter Elizabeth returned from Cincinnati after a two week stay. William Volz visited Sunman. Charles Jenner and family called on relatives at Egypt. Tony Frank Rosfeld George Borgerding Ed and Walter Huber met with Fred Abplanalp. Abplanalp called on Jacob Berg and Charles Abplanalp. Harry Christie held a wood sawing frolic on Thursday.
Cassius Osburn called at Arthur Sunman's Sunday. Conner Hutson and wife called at Batesville Saturday. Clifford Schomber and sister visited with aunt and uncle C M Oxburn and Cassius Osburn and wife visited son Walter Osburn Thursday. Ne Knerr called on Henry Spreckleson's Thursday. Conner Hutson called at Sunman Thursday. Miss Elvera and Anna Hutson spent Sunday with friends at Pentown.
Local residents share weekend visits and travels with relatives in Lookout Game Center Indianapolis Rushville Cedar Creek Laughery Bridge and Adams Church. Notable trips include Albert Schrader and Alfred to Cincinnati and John Prakel Sr illness and care by Dr. Gibson.
Adams Church members and neighbors spent Thursday and Sunday visiting relatives and friends. A Lookout Pie Social drew many from Adams Church amid mud and good cheer. Notable visits include the Scchnitker and Bergman families with Charles and Edward Bergman. There will be no Adams Church services Sunday.
