Pioneer Frederick Brummer Sr Dies at 91 in Indiana
Frederick Brummer Sr a longtime local blacksmith and pioneer died at his daughter Mrs Frank Weatherhead home in Shelbyville Indiana at 8 am Thursday January 27 1910 aged 91 years 11 months and 1 day He was born in Hanover Germany February 26 1818 and came to America in 1844 He helped build the Big Four railroad near Huntersville and lived there most of his life Surviving children include Fred Brummer Mrs Henry Severinghaus Aug Brummer Mrs Frank Weatherhead and Mrs Theodore Sehlhurst Funeral services were held at 2 pm at his son Fred s home and at St Mark s church with Rev N S Luz officiating attendees from distance included August Brummer Frank Weatherhead Russell Foster and Wm Altheimer.

Falling Wall Kills Cincinnati Man in Distillery District
Joseph Castinelli a nephew of Fred Drescher of Cincinnati died when a wall collapsed at a boarding house on Fourth Street near the Frei berg Distilling Co plant, destroyed in the same storm. Two others were killed in the same incident. Mrs Drescher and Alois Siefert attended the funeral at Linnwood. Castinelli was 36 and unmarried.

The forty thousand dollar damage suit brought against Dr. C. Neufarth of Sunman by John Goodapple was taken out of court last week at the plaintiff’s own cost. The case originated in the Ripley circuit court at Versailles where the jury failed to agree and was moved to the Decatur county court where it was tried last November, again ending in a disagreement.
