County borders proposed to shift for Ripley county gain

The proposal moves Franklin county territory south of a line from Ripley to Decatur counties into Ripley, enlarging its northern area. Huntersville would join Batesville and Newtown could join the corporation, boosting Batesville’s population to about 2500 to 3000 and making voting and tax payments easier for Franklin County residents.
