Laughery Township will be divided from five to three road districts for supervision. District 1 covers north part including the east west road from the Decatur county line to Adams township line between sections 5 and 32. District 2 lies south of District 1 east of a section line to the Delaware township line between sections 13 and 14. District 3 is the remaining southern portion west of District 2. Election for road supervisors is December 14 at 2 PM at Will iam Goyert s Cross Roads Ballstown schoolhouse and Hoyer schoolhouse.

Clarence Jackson and a friend were hunting on Thanksgiving near Pepper Town when both fired at a rabbit on a log. Concealed by bushes they failed to see each other and shot each other in the face. The Jackson boy lost an eye and suffered brain injury. his companion was wounded in the face and chest but not seriously hurt. The Jackson boy was moved to a Cincinnati hospital Friday.

Jury, after about ten minutes, sides with defendant. Deputy Prosecutor Kruser led the case. defense led by Andy Kopps with Louis Lee. Kopps praised for the win, first Batesville saloonkeeper victory in years.
The Farmers National Bank of Sunman in Ripley County Indiana is authorized to commence the business of banking by the Comptroller of the Currency William B Ridgely after meeting statutory requirements. The certificate dated September 18 1907 confirms authorization to operate under United States laws and witness to the seal of office.
Metamora and Sunman Chapters joined Grand Patron Will W. Grow of Danville to initiate Batesville Chapter members and install officers. Mrs Annie C Banes assisted. initiation lasted about three hours followed by a supper. Seventeen Metamora and Sunman attendees plus visitors from Bloomington and Connersville attended.
