Lae Ensinger suffered severe hand injuries after a jointer accident at the Western factory last Saturday afternoon, resulting in amputation of the second and third fingers on the left hand. H W Terry, at Versailles teachers institute baseball, tore a nail and dislocated the left index finger, needing self-reduction and medical dressing. Henry will be out of baseball for some time.

Chicken Thieves Target Herman Krieger’s Coop
In Batesville area reports say thieves tried to kill a chicken and fled when Fred Krieger and his brother in law William Wisman armed with a shotgun confronted them. Wisman fired, injuring one of the fleeing men who suffered an ailment described as rheumatism or similar after the escape.identities are noted as known.
