Runaway Horse Stopped Without Serious Injury
Oswald Gueth his wife and child visiting from New York were riding when their horse bolted from a cement contractor's tool box on Peard street. Mr Gueth was thrown from the buggy but was uninjured beyond head bruises. Mrs Gueth gained the reins and recovered control about a quarter mile south. the baby sustained only a minor bruise.

Visit Ends as Goether Purchases Cemetery Monument
William Goether of Hamilton Ohio, formerly of this place, came Friday to visit old friends and bought a monument for his family's plot at St John’s cemetery where his parents lie buried. Rev. C Freudenreich preached his farewell at St Mark’s last Sunday with Rev Flantz assisting. He left for Howells Nebraska afterward. No successor has been chosen to fill his vacancy.
