Death of Milo Burke Pioneer Rancher Dies in Cheyenne
Milo Burke of Tensleep died in Cheyenne on Tuesday afternoon from liver trouble and anemia poisoning. A Bas in Basin resident since 1884, he managed the Bar X Bar ranch and later ran the Wigwam near Tensleep. He spent summers in Arizona where he had mining interests and returned to Wyoming this week. Born 1866 in North Platte Nebraska, he earned the nickname The Kid for his early riding days. He helped develop Wyoming and was married in 1887 to Misa Howie Tannehill.
