R M Marquis manager and Foreman Sidebottom of Rockwell Livestock company were arrested on complaint by George Merrill for unlawfully killing livestock. First genuine cyclone hits Cottonwood Creek near Thermopolis
A Wyoming cyclone raced along Cottonwood Creek about thirty miles north of Thermopolis a few days ago, causing extensive damage. The storm toppled trees along a 100 yard wide path, uprooting many and snapping trunks up to three feet in diameter. Some structures were wrecked, and others damaged by falling debris, though a lone tree remained standing in the storm’s core. Thermopolis Independent.

Greek and Greek clash ends in death near Kane
James Baginianas is killed and Steve Brown wounded in a Sunday morning encounter near Kane. Both men were Greek workers for Burlington. Baginianas suffered shotgun and pistol wounds. Brown was shot in the back and has a good chance of recovery. Police reconstruct competing motives. Brown allegedly killed Baginianas to obtain his money. A jury viewed the remains and ruled death by gunshot from Brown. murder charges expected when Brown recovers.

Sixty head of horses were stolen from the Donald McDonald pasture near Diamond prompting the Wyoming Stockgrowers' Association to post a $300 reward for the capture of the thieves.
