A committee appointed to fund free street attractions during the fair has raised enough money to hire the Frees Bros. Co. for three days. The Denver company, renowned for clean comedy, acrobatics, and novelties, will headline the evenings with a free show alongside the band concert and other complimentary acts.

Leidecker Plant Brick Work Nears Completion

The Leidecker Co. plant on South Third Street advances with brick work nearly finished. Foreman Max Moritz leads a large crew as material quality signals heavy machinery support. Building cost runs about 12 000 dollars and machinery arrival is expected as sections finish.

Man Breaks Both Legs In Auto Tow Mishap

Fred Miller of three miles west of Shell broke both legs in a Monday night accident while his car, being towed to Greybull for repairs, rolled backwards off an embankment after a tow rope broke on a deep hill at Porter's Gulch. Dr. Hamilton attended to him.

Effect of strike halts Burlington shipments

The Burlington railroad refused to accept perishable freight, blocking sheep at Grey Bull and about twenty cattle cars at Manderson. If the strike lasts, many cattlemen gathering stock for market face serious losses. On the southbound train, relatives of railway officials were recalled from the East as settlement prospects remained distant.

Auto Supply and Co Buy Leavitt Lot for New Brick Building

The Auto Supply and Tue Co, Frank Brigham and L Vandeven have purchased the Leavitt lot south of the Golden Rule store on Fourth Street. They will erect a brick building thirty by seventy feet and expand stock of auto accessories. They will maintain vulcanizing efficiency and establish a free air service. South Fourth Street is set to become a busy trade center.

Sheriff Recovers Suspect From Grey Bull Flight

Sheriff Wickwire returned from Thermopolia with J. C. Wallace who was wanted at Grey Bull for beating a board bill. Wallace came to Basin from Greybull, secured clothes, and tried to flee the country. The sheriff located him and he is jailed in the county lockup.

Contract Let For New Hall By Basin Firm

Hime Brothers of Basin secured a 16000 dollar contract for a new lodge hall on Fourth Street replacing the former Fraternity hall. The 30 by 108 foot brick three story building will house mercantile space on the first floor, lodge rooms on the second, and a banquet hall on the third. Construction starts immediately and aims for rapid completion as one of the largest, most up to date lodge buildings in the area.

Black and Co purchase Lewis and Coons lot for new garage

G. W. Black & Co bought the Lewis and Coons lot north of the Metz garage on Fourth street. They plan a brick building with enlarged showroom and garage facing B and Fourth streets. The facility will be the largest in the area with a vulcanizing plant, battery charging, and full battery accessories stock.

Rue Resigns to Campaign for District Court Clerk

Under Sheriff Frank J. Rue resigned his post with Sheriff Wickwire and will enter the race for district court clerk. He held the under sheriff role for four years and was a steady public servant, winning strong support in the Republican primary and promising gratitude to supporters in the campaign.

Leidecker Building to Provide Rooms for Croployes

The Leidecker building will offer ten rooms over the store room facing Third street for the use of the men. The decision follows difficulty in securing adequate homes in town for workers at the shops opening.
