Greatest Celebration In History Of Big Horn Basin

A large public celebration in Lovell signaled the arrival of the Great Western Sugar Co plant and factory with a two part program. The afternoon program featured speeches by H G Jolley E E Durnin Roy J Covert and Gov J B Kendrick among others then a public inspection of the sugar plant followed by an evening grand ball and continued entertainment by the Lovell Military Band and local vocal ensembles. The event drew attendees from across the basin and was described as royal entertainment.

Chafing Dish Club Hosts Gather at Grandview Home

Mrs K J Sullivan and a group from Grandview hosted the Chafing Dish club Sunday evening. Attendees included Mr and Mrs L Bain, Mr and Mrs Homer Lamb, Mr and Mrs TTB Algeo, and Mr and Mrs B J Sullivan. The next meeting is set for November 5 at Mr and Mrs L D Habra’s home. Sudden death of Grace Sheldon in Greybull

Grace Sheldon daughter of Chas Sheldon longtime resident of Shell Creek was found dead in her Greybull room yesterday. An inquest led by Coroner C E Hams heard that she had attended a cinema with Jack Van Horn the prior evening and was last seen alive after a bath and retirement. The jury ruled death by natural causes likely from an accidental fall during a convulsion, with a post mortem to confirm.
