Plea Guilty in Gebo Liquor Case and Weapons Charge

District Court tries case over heifer killed at paddock ranch
In district court Monday prosecutors accuse R. M. Marquis and Edwin E. Sidebottom of the Pad lock ranch of killing a two year old heifer owned by the Rocky Mountain Cattle Company. George Merrill testified the cattle firm refused settlement and investigations were begun. The jury panel was formed from local residents, with twenty more summoned before trial. The defense says the heifer was mistaken for the defendants own animal and they sought to notify authorities. The case continues with further testimony expected on page six.
