Big Horn County Wins Big at State Fair Honors
Big Horn county delegates at the state fair brought home 115 prizes including 60 firsts, 40 seconds and 15 thirds. Grace Ells was champion poultry raiser and Allen Howe champion pig raiser while W S Collins earned top corn awards from Gurney Seed Co. The county swept major agricultural honors and received widespread recognition for its exhibits and stock displays.

Margaret A. Nash mother of Rev. M. Nash of Basin died after a two week illness from heart failure. Funeral at St. Andrew's Church conducted by Arch Duncan Dray of Douglas. Interment Mount View cemetery. She had recently moved from Los Angeles to Basin. Survived by son and daughter Mrs. Edwin L. Swbin of La Jolla. Second annual Basin state library association conference attended by Grace R. Hebard and numerous librarians and officials from Wyoming libraries and clubs.

Court sessions settle many cases this week
This week in court several cases settled, including H. J. Marchant of Cowley as plaintiff. In a 1914 Crosby-Welch v. Tippetts action sheriff seizures of cattle and a horse were tied to payment, Marchant later proving title and recovering $60 plus costs. D0.E.Nowells v Berry Bros awarded $129.92. Welch v Borner dismissed. Sprague v Re Horn Milling settled out of court. Hyde led the Marchant case with co counsel Nowell and Bis Horn Milling Co.

Miss Grace Dilis daughter of Mr and Mrs Josh Dilis earned the counties top poultry honors and was sent to the state fair. She captured tulme ribbons for her trio of chickens and the grand championship for a pullet. She attracted much attention and enjoyed the exhibit on the agricultural fair day special.
